Why Kino w Trampkach?

Trampek means Sneaker [trampki = sneakers] and in Polish this word comes from TRAMP.

“Trampek” is a shoe of a tramp, wanderer, who has a wild heart and an open mind; who searches.
These journey connotations are the most inspiring for us.

We are looking for a good translation of Kino w trampkach into English that would reflect the Polish meaning.

So why Kino w trampkach [Cinema in Sneakers]?:

– we associate sneakers with a journey, an adventure;

– co-viewing is extremely important in experiencing films. You need to go (out) to the cinema and watch the films with others;

– every films is a journey;

– when we look at young people’s sneakers we think of Sailor Ripley saying “Did I ever tell ya that this here jacket represents a symbol of my individuality, and my belief in personal freedom?”
